1.
I spend about half my time chasing after you And since I'm moving forward, it'd be a sin not to ride the west wind To land us in a better world. Give me a reason to stop. Frankie's gonna find a real friend in me now Ride rhythm on the city high Put me back again in this corner, and you'll find it in your own sky Give me a reason to stop.
2.
As I walked you out, I hoped to god I didn't need you any more. That first moment without you, you're a stranger in the door. A patient conversation is taking place behind my eyes, A song is being written on an answer made of lies. These words know that in different company, they'd last long into the night, but they fall on my ears in protest begging me not to fight.
3.
If I was going to make it right, I'd pack up a few things and leave tonight, but I'm trying not to walk alone. I should've seen it going wrong, checked all my losses and just moved along, but I'm trying not to go back home. Anything but be alone. It's easy to escape the gray and hope that we'll be ok.
