Sometimes you create songs for your pet to add a narrative sparkle to the world you've imagined together. Over the last 8 years of watching our cat live his life rubbing his face on every corner imaginable, shitting in a box, getting ripped on the 'nip, developing incessant needs to be rubbed while he eats, etc., I have built up a small suite of themes to accompany his routines.

Jeffrey is the dark prince that reigns over our apartment. In quarantine, I began to see every moment of his day, as well as notice the impressions that we made on each other. And it is in this profound boredom that I put these arrangements together. These are four themes (in a growing, innumerable list) of the Dark Prints.
